ABCUL is delighted to launch its comprehensive new training suite – the ABCUL Academy.
The ABCUL Academy is an online learning environment which hosts a wide variety of training content in the form of videos, eLearning and reference materials that are designed to enable people in credit unions to understand the risks and requirements of running the operation.
A variety of content will be available to ensure all individuals can benefit whatever their level of experience, responsibility or time commitment. The training is designed to benefit credit unions of all types and all sizes, and to be fit for the modern credit union movement.
The ABCUL Academy allows credit unions to track the use of individual modules by each user and records their progress and successes in any testing, all of which can be documented and reported on to the credit union’s board and regulators.
And ABCUL is also launching a new qualification in partnership with the ifs University College – the Certificate in Credit Union Professional Conduct. A Level 3 standard qualification, it will give credit union professionals the opportunity to formally demonstrate their knowledge and capability with a financial services industry-recognised certificate.
ABCUL’s Head of Member Services Rosanna Donovan said: “We’ve spent some time listening to members’ views and working hard to develop a package that addresses the real needs and requirements of credit unions today and going forward.
“For example, many credit unions have asked us how they can ensure – and prove – that their key people have all the skills and competencies required by the new Senior Managers Regime. The ABCUL Academy is the answer.
“We’re confident the ABCUL Academy is quite simply the best training package available to credit unions in Britain, and – at just £55 per individual user in your credit union for a full year – represents outstanding value for credit unions.”
The ABCUL Academy is available to any credit union in Britain when they join the Association.
