Pioneer Mutual brand unveiled

East Renfrewshire Credit Union has revealed its new identity as Pioneer Mutual Credit Union.
The new name and logo was unveiled by local Member of Parliament Kirsten Oswald MP at a special networking breakfast event in Barrhead. The new brand received a warm response from the range of guests in attendance from the local community and beyond.
The reason behind Pioneer Mutual’s rebrand is twofold. Firstly, they have extended their common bond to include all those that live or work in a G, PA or ML postcode, extending the credit union’s potential membership well beyond East Renfrewshire to also serve people across Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Dunbartonshire and Lanarkshire.
Secondly, Pioneer Mutual will be migrating to the Cornerstone Model CU next year as part of the UK Government’s Credit Union Expansion Project (CUEP). This is a great opportunity for the credit union to modernise and to provide the products people look for in a financial provider, and they were delighted to welcome Lindsay Watt from the Department for Work and Pensions to speak about the Project at the launch event.
Kirsten Oswald MP said she was “delighted to unveil the rebrand of our excellent local credit union”, and urged her constituents to have a look at their “great range of services”.
Pioneer Mutual’s Business Development Manager Beth Welsh said: “As there has been significant investment in CUEP and ourselves, we want to ensure that as many people as possible have access to this new way of credit union working, and we have extended our common bond to ensure that this happens.
“However, we will still work closely with the local community, ensuring we provide the products members require and the great customer service they expect.”
