The Pentecostal Credit Union has launched its own radio show on UGN Jamz.
Urban Gospel Network (UGN Jamz 24/7) is an on-line Christian radio station providing news, discussion, gospel music and events for its audience. The PCU Moneywise Show airs for half an hour fortnightly on Wednesdays at 9pm, and is broadcast again on Saturdays at 5pm.
The credit union uses the show to talk about how to improve your finances and live a Moneywise lifestyle, and also discusses topical financial and social issues that are affecting communities. Guest speakers are invited to contribute to the show, and members of the credit union’s Youth Shadow Board also feature.
The Pentecostal Credit Union’s Chief Executive Shane Bowes said: “UGN Jamz has a high proportion of Pentecostal Christians as listeners and so we see this as a brilliant way to raise awareness of the credit union to our ‘common bond’ community – Pentecostal church goers in Great Britain.
“It provides us with the opportunity to showcase not only what we do, but also our corporate personality to really engage with the issues and challenges facing our members and potential members. These are mainly financial, but we also discuss those social issues that impact on the economic wellbeing of our communities.
“We see this as critically important for the development of the Pentecostal Credit Union to use the intelligence that we will gain from this engagement to improve our products and services in order to better serve the needs of our members.”
The Pentecostal Credit Union is the largest faith-based credit union in Britain, serving individuals who practise the Pentecostal faith and their families as well as Pentecostal church groups and businesses. Founded in 1980, the credit union has grown its assets over the years to become one of the largest in the country.
