02 Jun 17

The programme for the first Cornerstone Mutual Services Annual Conference has been published.

The event will be held on Tuesday 20 June at the Midland Hotel, Manchester and is a great opportunity for credit unions to learn more about Cornerstone’s products, to ask questions and to hear expert speakers address some of the key issues facing the credit union sector.

Cornerstone Mutual Services is ABCUL’s trading subsidiary, which was set up to help credit unions grow through co-operation and innovation; working together to make credit unions stronger and to deliver improved products and services for members.

Delegates will hear from a number of speakers throughout the day including Cornerstone Mutual Services Chair Lord Hunt of Wirral and ABCUL Chief Executive Mark Lyonette, as well as speakers from the Department for Work and Pensions, Fiserv, Lloyds Banking Group and The Change Account.

The conference facilitator will be Mark Sievewright (pictured). Mark is recognised as a leading innovator in the global credit union movement and has an outstanding reputation as an entertaining and thought-provoking conference speaker.

Session topics include:

  • How Cornerstone is performing as a business.
  • How the roll-out of the Cornerstone Model CU is progressing and its benefits for credit unions.
  • Improving the ALD (Automated Lending Decisions) service and use of credit reference data.
  • Risk based pricing.
  • Cornerstone's new card account.
  • Credit unions developing in the Digital Age.

Delegates will also have the chance to network with colleagues and chat to the Cornerstone team and product providers in the exhibition hall.

Each delegate place costs just £85 plus VAT, and delegates can also gather for a special dinner featuring guest speakers on the evening of Monday 19 June for an additional £55 plus VAT. Delegates staying overnight will need to arrange their own accommodation in Manchester.
