Lewisham Council praises work of co-operatives

Lewisham Council has praised the good work of co-operatives in the borough and how credit unions, local schools and housing associations can play a vital role in improving resident’s lives in the area.

This includes Lewisham Plus CU and Lewisham Employees CU (Crownsavers CU). 

Alan Hall is Lewisham’s leading scrutiny Councillor and is calling on all residents of Lewisham to share their stories of how co-operation is a powerful force.

He said: “Co-operatives play a vital role both in our borough and across the UK in strengthening communities and giving members a say in how their businesses and organisations are run.”
