First students achieve the CeCUPC

The CeCUPC is a Level 3 qualification provided through the London Institute of Banking & Finance, which not only helps develop credit union personnel’s professionalism and capability, but also enables them to demonstrate aptitude to members and regulators.
The development of the CeCUPC was supported by funding from Citi Foundation and Scape Group through the Credit Union Foundation and it consists of three units of study: Credit Unions and the Financial Services Environment; The Financial Services Marketplace; and Financial Services Regulation. Students learn through self-study of course materials and, at the end of the estimated one hundred and thirty hours’ study time, will sit a two hour multiple choice exam.
CeCUPC graduate Mohammad Braimah, who works at Commsave Credit Union, said: “It has broadened my knowledge about banking and the wider credit union sector.
“I had the most value out of the Financial Services Regulation module because of my role as a Director."
Registering for the qualification costs £195 for ABCUL members. Find out how to register here.
