The Cross Party Group on Credit Unions
The Scottish Parliament’s Cross-Party Group (CPG) on Credit Unions gives Scotland’s thriving credit union sector a regular forum at Holyrood.
The Group was founded in 2009 and, following it's successful re-establishment after the 2015 election, is convened by Ruth Maguire MSP. The CPG meets every few months, bringing together MSPs from across the parties, credit unions and stakeholders to discuss opportunities, issues of concern and the impact of devolved policy decisions on credit unions in Scotland.
Previous CPG meetings have discussed topics such as helping Scots through the recession, fair and appropriate debt solutions, publicising credit unions and promoting financial capability.
You can access meeting minutes and details of forthcoming meetings here.
